Spring & Fall Cleanup
SPRING
Perhaps you didn’t get a chance to clean up all the leaves from the fall. Or maybe you just want to prepare your property for the beautiful Maine summer season. Either way, we are happy to accommodate you. Spring cleanups can begin as soon as the snow melts and the ground has dried enough so that we don’t damage your lawn. In Maine, this is typically around the middle of April. We use power brooms to thoroughly and gently remove any leftover sand from your lawn that may have been deposited over the winter. Then we do what we like to call “stick patrol” where we rake and comb every square inch of your property removing sticks, leaves, acorns, thatch and any other debris winter may have left behind. After all the material has been removed, we give your lawn a fresh cut to kick start growth. Finally, we finish by blowing any clippings off of your driveway and walkways.
FALL
As the leaves begin to change color and summer passes into fall, it’s an ideal time to clean up your yard. This time of year, the leaves are dry and easier to handle than wet leaves in the spring. We use state of the art blowers that are powerful enough to move leaves efficiently while still being gentle on your plants and bushes. Once your leaves are piled up, we bring in our truck mounted vacuum to quickly suck up the piles. Then, we rake and comb your entire property by hand, removing any lingering debris, and go through your garden beds to cut back perennials as needed. Next we’ll mow your lawn which removes any remaining fine material. Fall cleanups finish with a driveway and walkway cleaning to remove any lingering clippings from your paved areas.
